Telangana Govt sanctions compensation for lightning and fire victims

Hyderabad, Mar 30 (UNI) The Telangana government has sanctioned financial assistance to the families of those who lost their lives due to lightning and fire accidents in various districts over the past five years.
The Disaster Management Department has issued orders to district Collectors to ensure swift disbursal of the compensation.
Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that a compensation of Rs 6 lakh will be provided to each family of lightning victims, while families of fire accident victims will receive Rs 4 lakh each.

AP: Two boys drown in Yeleru canal while bathing

Kakinada, Apr 2 (UNI) Two boys who came for the village deity Nookalamma Festival in Kandrakota village of Peddapuram Mandal went for bathing and drowned in nearby Yeleru canal on Wedmesday, police said.
The body of a nine-year-old boy was retrieved a little later and search is on for the other boy/
