TGSRTC expands emergency care unit at Tarnaka Hospital with IOCL support

Hyderabad, Apr 3 (UNI) The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced the expansion of the Emergency Care Unit at Tarnaka Hospital to enhance medical services for its employees.
The unit, currently equipped with four beds, will be upgraded to a 12-bed facility with financial assistance from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
IOCL has approved the proposals submitted by RTC officials and has committed funding of Rs 1 crore for the expansion. The project will be executed through the voluntary organization Nirman.org, which will also assist in setting up specialized centers to train RTC employees in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
A formal agreement for the expansion was signed at Hyderabad Bus Bhavan on Wednesday in the presence of TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar. Representatives from IOCL and Nirman.org participated in the signing ceremony, exchanging gifts to mark the collaboration.
Speaking on the occasion, TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar emphasised the organization’s commitment to employee health and safety, stating that Tarnaka Hospital is being developed to meet corporate-level healthcare standards.
He expressed gratitude to IOCL for its support and announced that, along with the expanded Emergency Care Unit, cath lab services will soon be made available for RTC employees.
The event was attended by IOCL representatives SC Mesram, P. Kailash Kant, and VVS Chakravarthy, along with Nirman.org COO Pulla Anuradha, Tarnaka Hospital Superintendent Dr. Shailaja Murthy, Medical Administrator Dr. Srinivas, and other dignitaries.
