Hyderabad, Apr 7 (UNI) A Committee of Ministers constituted by the Telangana government held a meeting on Monday to discuss the ongoing Kancha Gachibowli land issue involving the University of Hyderabad (UoH).
The meeting, held at the Secretariat, was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, in the presence of AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and Congress Working Committee Special Invitee Vamshi Chand Reddy, an official statement said.
Representatives from the University of Hyderabad Teachers Association (UHTA) and civil society groups participated in the meeting, raising urgent demands including the immediate withdrawal of police from the UoH campus, revocation of prohibitory orders, release of two students in custody, and withdrawal of all recent cases filed against protesting students.
