Pahalgam terror attack is barbaric : Stalin

Chennai, Apr 22 (UNI) Strongly condemning the terror attack at Pahalgam
on tourists at Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin
on Tuesday night termed it as barbaric that shook the conscience.
Since some of the people from TN were also affected by the terror attack, he
has directed the Resident Commissioner in Delhi to coordinate with J and K
authorities and ensure all assistance to them.
In a post on X, Mr Stalin wrote "The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and
Kashmir, that targeted innocent tourists and claimed multiple precious lives is
a barbaric act that shocks the conscience."
"It deserves the strongest condemnation. My thoughts are with the bereaved
families", he said.
"I am deeply saddened to learn that victims include people from Tamil Nadu.
I have directed the Resident Commissioner in Delhi to coordinate with J&K
authorities and ensure all necessary assistance to the families of those affected",
he posted.
According to reports, the terrorists donned in army fatigue attacked the tourists
in which 28 were said to have been killed that included two foreign tourists--one
from Italy and Israel.
Among the seven injured were two from Tamil Nadu and one them was said
to be a doctor.
