Heavy Security at UoH amid student protests over land issue

Hyderabad, Mar 31 (UNI) Police have intensified security at University of Hyderabad (UoH) following student protests against the alleged auction of university land.
Heavy police deployment has been made at the university’s main gate and inside the campus as a precautionary measure.
The unrest began when authorities attempted to flatten 400 acres of land with bulldozers, triggering student outrage. Clashes erupted on Sunday night, leading to multiple student arrests, though they were later released.

Kakinada, Apr 3 (UNI) Based on the intelligence inputs, the sub-inspector of Pedapudi along with Kakinada CCS inspector V Krishna and sub-inspector Vinay Prathap conducted a raid on a shed on the outskirts of Pedapudi on Thursday and arrested a gang of nine people and seized five kilo 265 grams ganja from their possession.
Ten motorcycles stolen from various places were also recovered from four of them.
