Alfon Gonzalez joins Sevilla from Celta Vigo for next season

Madrid, July 1 (UNI) Sevilla has made its first signing ahead of the 2025-26 La Liga campaign with the arrival of forward Alfon Gonzalez from Celta Vigo.
The 26-year-old, who can operate on either the right or left of attack or as a second striker, arrives to strengthen the attack of the club that will be coached by Matias Almeyda next season, and moves to the south of Spain after helping Celta qualify for next season's Europa League.
Last season, Alfon played 29 times for Celta in La Liga, scoring eight goals and giving eight assists as his now former side impressed with its open, attacking football.
The 2024-25 season finally saw Alfon cement his place in the Spanish top flight after a career that saw him play for lower tier Albacete, International de Madrid (effectively Real Madrid's C-team),
Celta B, Racing Santander, Murcia and back to Celta.
He has agreed a three-year contract with Sevilla, with a release clause of 40 million euros (47.2 million US dollars).
