Indian cricketers extol armed forces for gallantry in 'Operation Sindoor'

Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) The Indian cricket fraternity on Wednesday united in patriotic solidarity, voicing unwavering support for the nation's armed forces after reports of the successful strikes surfaced.

Former and current cricketers swiftly took to social media, voicing unequivocal admiration for the forces.

Former Indian opener and legendary batter, Virender Sehwag took to X and posted, "Dharmo Rakshati Rakshata Jai Hind ki Sena #OperationSindoor"

Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy shared the Operation Sindoor image on Instagram.

Current Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir hailed India and its Army. He wrote “Jai Hind (Victory to India)” on X and shared an image of Operation Sindoor.

Former cricketers Aakash Chopra, and Pragyan Ojha were among the first to publicly praise the Indian Armed Forces. Each of them shared patriotic messages on social media, all captioned with “Jai Hind.” UNI NST SSP
