Maha govt announces 50 pc discount for women tourists on International women day

Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) The Maharashtra government announced a special 50% discount for women tourists in the resort owned by state government , Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) resorts across the state from March 1 to 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day.
This initiative is part of the "Aai" Women-Centric and Gender-Inclusive Tourism Policy, aimed at promoting safer and more convenient travel experiences for women, Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai said.
Minister Desai further said that the "Aai" policy was well-received last year, with over 1,500 women tourists benefiting from the discount. Encouraged by this response, MTDC decided to extend the scheme for 2025 as well.
