India's victory is certain in fight against enemies of peace, humanity: Mukesh Ambani on Pahalgam

Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) In a powerful show of solidarity following the barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Thursday declared that the defeat of the "enemies" of peace and humanity is "certain", and asserted that India's victory in this fight was inevitable under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the inaugural session of WAVES 2025 in Mumbai, Ambani said: "Modi ji, you have the full support of 145 crore Indians in this fight against the enemies of peace, justice and humanity. Their defeat is certain. India’s victory is also certain."
Ambani’s remarks came in the presence of the Prime Minister, who was attending the event days after the Pahalgam attack that left the nation shaken. "Your coming here sends a strong message — a message of hope, unity, and unshakable resolve," Ambani told Modi.
The billionaire industrialist was speaking at the opening of WAVES 2025, a global summit on creativity, culture, and technology that has drawn 10,000 delegates from over 90 countries. He said the idea for the summit had received the Prime Minister’s approval just a few months ago, and was now a reality thanks to "the josh of Naya Bharat" and the leadership of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Highlighting the strategic potential of India’s entertainment and cultural sectors, Ambani described them not as soft power but as "real power", especially in a turbulent world looking for unity and hope.
"In our civilisational heritage of over 5,000 years, we have vast treasure troves of timeless tales — from the Ramayana and Mahabharata to folklore and classics in dozens of languages. No nation can match India’s storytelling power," he said, urging creators to take Indian stories to global audiences.
He also hailed the fusion of storytelling and digital technologies as a uniquely Indian advantage, pointing to the nation’s rapid transformation into a "front-ranking digital nation" under Modi’s leadership.
"With tools like AI and immersive tech, our stories can now travel instantly across languages, countries, and cultures. India's super-talented young creators will rule the global entertainment industry with blockbusters," he said.
Ambani said India’s media and entertainment industry, currently valued at $28 billion, had the potential to exceed $100 billion within a decade, creating jobs, driving entrepreneurship, and generating cross-sectoral growth.
“This is not just a cultural or creative opportunity — it is a strategic and economic opportunity as well,” he said.
Concluding with a solemn assurance to the Prime Minister, Ambani pledged to make WAVES the world’s foremost entertainment platform — “one with an Indian soul and a global voice".
"This is just the beginning. The best is yet to come. Let the stories flow. Let the waves rise. Jai Hind," he said.
