Maha govt creating mobile app for patients to file complaints about hospitals: Minister Abitkar

Kolhapur, May 3 (UNI) Maharashtra Health Minister Prakash Abitkar said today that the state government has created a mobile app for the people to file complaints directly to the health department about hospitals.
Giving information about the app here this afternoon to reporters, Abitkar, who is also district guardian minister, said: "If the government systems maintain proper control automatically the hospitals will have to do a good job, and for this we are creating a mobile app on which patients and their relatives can send their complaints against hospitals directly to the health department online and also get information about availability of beds in the hospitals through the app."
Abitkar said that the government has brought in important changes in the Mahatma Phule Health Scheme, which is being implemented now and in future there will be a raise in the financial help amounts. He said action will be taken against those hospitals which take money from the patients under this scheme.
