India, Pak being appealed to maintain peace at international level: Sharad Pawar

Baramati (Pune), May 10 ( UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) supremo Sharad Pawar said here on Saturday that both India and Pakistan are being appealed to maintain peace at the international level.
He said that Pakistan's Defence Minister and former ministers are repeatedly giving interviews to international media and defaming India. However, their lies are being exposed every day.
On the other hand, not a single Indian political leader has given interviews to the media and commented on the tension. India's position is being officially presented by holding daily press conferences by the Indian Army and the Ministry of External Affairs, he added.
India also targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir in response to the Pahalgam attack.

India did not target civilian areas on its own. But Pakistan is deliberately targeting civilian areas, hospitals, educational institutions, and gurdwaras and dropping bombs on them, he said.

Pawar said there is no need to talk much about this, but to take direct action.
Pawar's statement shows that the opposition parties in India have shown restraint and unanimously supported the central government.
