Nitish initiates dialogue with Women

Patna, Apr 18 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, popular for his steps towards women empowerment, initiated dialogue with women to apprise them of the government schemes and the activities taken for the welfare of the women folk of the society.
While flagging the women's dialogue programme through video conferencing here on Friday, Kumar said that in addition to apprise the women about various activities initiated for their empowerment, their problems and aspirations would be identified at grassroot level including villages and tolas. He said that the priorities of the women folk would be set after identifying their aspirations and problems.
He said that the problems of women would be solved at an accelerated pace and the information collected during women dialogue would be used at the time of framing of the policies for them.
The Chief Minister said that the women dialogue vehicles would sensitise the women folk living in villages towards the initiative taken up for their welfare.
As it is the Chief Minister during his Pragati Yatra had directed the authorities to visit spots for taking first hand information about the problems and the progress of the ongoing schemes and the women dialogue was a part of the programme taken up to discuss the problems of the women folk in the presence of the senior officers.
The women dialogue would be held at 70000 places where more than 2 crore women would participate with an aim to apprise and sensitise them towards their welfare initiatives of the government.
He said that the suggestions and aspirations made during the women dialogue would be fulfilled on priority basis by the concerned senior authorities.
