Nitish will remain CM face in Bihar, NDA clarifies after Haryana CM Saini names Samrat

Patna, Apr 14 (UNI) Top BJP leaders on Monday clarified that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would be the CM face of NDA after Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini pushed the name of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary as the CM for next state assembly election slated for

October-November this year.

Saini on Sunday had made a statement that Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary would be CM face of NDA in next Bihar assembly election triggering strong resentment and protest from JD(U) leaders in Bihar.

Senior JD(U) leader and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh while reacting on the statement of Saini said that Union Home Minister and top BJP leader Amit Shah had already clarified on several occasions that NDA would contest next asembly election in Bihar under the leadership of Chief Minister Kumar.

There was no reason for giving much importance to statement of any other leader after the issue of CM face was already settled by Shah, he stressed.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary while himself rubbishing the statement of Saini said that NDA would contest next state assembly election under the leadership of Kumar.

Nitish would remain Chief Minister of Bihar for the next 5 years, he thundered.

Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal also said that there was no confusion over the issue of Nitish as CM face of NDA for next Bihar assembly election.Under the leadership of Kumar, NDA government was performing well in Bihar and next government in the state would also be formed under his leadership, he added.
