Gaya, Apr 22 (UNI) Taking a dig at senior RJD leader and leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) patron Jitan Ram Manjhi said there was no vacancy for the post of Chief Minister in the state.
Manjhi attacked Yadav during a public function held in Kharkhura locality here on Tuesday saying that Yadav may become the convenor of the INDIA Alliance but is not a contender for the post of Chief Minister.
He said that Bihar is continuously developing under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He claimed that this time in the Bihar Assembly elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win 225 seats.
The Union Minister clarified on the Waqf Amendment Act that he had objection to the provision of this law which talks about the entry of non-Muslims. When non-Hindus cannot be in Hindu monasteries, how non-Muslims will be in the Muslim institutions, he questioned saying that he will fight against it till his last breath. Manjhi said that he would tell the government that it is one-sided and it should be amended.
Manjhi also raised questions about the government's intentions regarding the common schooling system.
He said that neither the previous governments nor the current government had the courage to implement the common schooling system. The government's intentions had flaws due to which the dream of common education was still incomplete, he alleged and stressed the need for a system of common education in the entire country.
HAM patron also advised senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Chandrashekhar Singh, saying, "Singh is definitely a scholar but he should either correct what he said about me or I clarify it".
Manjhi said he does not go to temples and mosques to worship but to respect sentiments and respecting someone's sentiments was not orthodoxy.
