Pahalgam terror attack hurts country's sentiments: Bihar Guv

Nawada, May 5 (UNI) Expressing his grave over the recent Pahalgam terror attack, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said the incident has hurt the sentiments of the country.
While addressing a seminar on "The Indian Polity: A Critical Appraisal", Khan said here on Monday, Khan termed the Pahalgam terror attack unfortunate which has deeply hurt the sentiments of the country.
Describing the attack as most tragic and unfortunate, he said that the government needs to take concrete and effective steps in this direction.
Khan also expressed confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hoped that effective action would be taken on it.
Describing democracy as the best system of governance in human civilisation, he discussed in detail the democratic system, cultural values ​and constitutional ideals of India.
While speaking about religion he described it as an element that binds society which talks about respect for all.
The governor described the Constitution as the "central core of Indian beliefs and traditions" and said it teaches respect for all. He compared the duty of the ruler to the role of a doctor - who provides equal treatment to the patient irrespective of his caste, religion or class.
