Pahalgam terror shock : Security upped in TN, vigil intensified

Chennai, Apr 23 (UNI) Security arrangements in Tami Nadu have been tightened
in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack in J and K that snuffed out the lives of
26 tourists, with vigil maintained in all inter-state borders.
Police sources said security has been tightened across the State in all vital
installations, including at airports, railway stations and in places were people
congregate in large numbers.
Vigil was aso strengthened in inter-state borders and all vehicles entering the
state were subjected to thorough checks.
Security has also been tightened in all the airports and raliway stations as a
precautionary measure.
Apart from intensifying vehicle patrolling, all lodges were being checked to
ascertain any anti-social elements were staying.
The sources said police are maintaining round the clock vigil.
