Darbhanga, May 14 (UNI) In a sudden and surprising move, the district administration refused permission to the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi for the student dialogue programme to be held at Ambedkar Kalyan Hostel, Mogalpura in Darbhanga.

Responding to the letter of the National Secretary of the National Student Union of India (NSUI) Mohammad Sadab Akhtar, the District Welfare Officer has written a letter denying the permission. In the letter, it is stated that permission is not given for the event. However, no reason has been attributed for the denial of the permission

The refusal letter was circulated in the local media by the Deputy Director of the Information and Public Relations Department of Darbhanga.

Earlier Akhtar, the organiser of the event, had sought permission from the administration for the same.

As it is the event was slated for May 15 on Thursday in Darbhanga, for which preparations were in full swing.
