Police team leaves for Nagpur to arrest "journalist" Prashant Koratkar

Kolhapur, Mar 19 (UNI) After the district session court rejected the anticipatory bail application yesterday of "journalist" Prashant Koratkar, a five-member police team led by an officer of assistant inspector rank, left for Nagpur late Wednesday evening to arrest accused Koratkar.Maharashtra's Kolhapur District Sessions Court on Tuesday rejected the anticipatory bail application of "journalist" Prashant Koratkar, who is absconding after allegedly threatening history researcher Indrajeet Sawant over his comment on the 'Bramhan' community.
The District Sessions judge D V Kashyap had reserved his decision on the permanent bail application of Koratkar, who absconded after being booked by the Juna Rajwada police station.
However, Koratkar got temporary relief when the Kolhapur court approved his temporary bail. But later the district police filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court to cancel the temporary bail so that it could immediately arrest him.
