Portion of Bhopal's high-profile 'Club 90' encroaching on govt land demolished

Bhopal, May 6 (UNI) In a major action in connection with the alleged 'Love Jihad' case linked to a private higher educational institution in Bhopal, the administration has demolished the portion of the high-profile restaurant 'Club 90' that was encroaching on government land.
According to official sources, a major part of Club 90 was constructed by encroaching on government land, and the administration demolished it using bulldozers late on Monday evening.
The restaurant is situated near the private educational institution and was allegedly used by the accused in the Love Jihad case to lure girls and engage in other illicit activities.

On Monday, a team from the National Commission for Women also inspected Club 90 while investigating the alleged Love Jihad case. The team visited the institution and spoke to relevant people in connection with the case.

The case relates to allegations of rape, video recording, blackmailing, and forcing girls to convert their religion at a private institution in Bhopal.
Five girls have filed FIRs in different police stations, and five accused, including Farhan, have been arrested so far. It is believed that many more girls might have fallen prey to the accused, but they are hesitant to come forward due to social stigma.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the number of accused may increase. When Farhan was arrested, he tried to escape, snatch a pistol, and fire at the police, but a bullet hit his own leg during the scuffle. The case has sparked widespread anger and protests in Bhopal.
