Power supply restored to ancestral home of J P

Patna, May 21 (UNI) A day after Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor raised the issue of snapped power supply to the ancestral home of veteran socialist leader Jai Prakash Narain at Sitabadiara, local administration acted swiftly and restored the power supply to his home.
Kishor, who had reached the ancestral home of J P at Sitabadiara in Saran district of Bihar on Tuesday to seek blessings before embarking on " Badlao Yatra ", was surprised to see that the power supply to this sacred place had been snapped following nonpayment of electricity bills.
He had expressed his deep concern that birth birthplace of veteran leader was left in darkness, who played a vital role in saving democracy when an emergency was imposed by the then Congress government at the Centre. It was JP who had given a call for total revolution on June 5, 1975, which ultimately led to the ouster of the Indira Gandhi government in 1977.
Taking swift action on the issue, the local administration restored power supply to the ancestral home of J P within 24 hours. Leaders of Jan Suraaj also confirmed that power supply had been restored to the ancestral home of J P. It appeared that the administration acted in no time, apprehending that the issue could snowball into a major political issue.
