Power supply snapped at ancestral home of J P due to pending electricity bills : Prashant

Patna, May 20 (UNI) A veteran socialist leader Jai Prakash Narain (JP) who had given the call of total revolution in mid seventies against dictatorship of the then Congress regime, has been left unattended by his disciples who are in power in Bihar and also at the Centre as ancestral home of J P is in complete darkness due to non payment of electricity bill.
All non-Congress leaders have been taking inspiration from J P to serve the people, and some of them are his disciples, who were with him when he gave the call for total revolution on June 5, 1975. A call for total revolution was given against the then-dictatorial regime of Congress to save democracy.
It is ironic to note that a leader who had dedicated himself to keeping the light of democracy on has been forgotten. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, who have been in power for the last 35 years, appear not to have taken note of the darkness prevailing at JP's ancestral home.
Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor, who had reached Sitabadiara, the birthplace of
J P, to seek blessings before embarking on " Badlao Yatra " across the state, was surprised to see darkness at his ancestral home. When he talked to locals, he was surprised to learn that the power supply had been snapped due to nonpayment of electricity bills.
" Darkness at the ancestral home of J P is a reflection of the fact that Bihar needs a change of regime in the next state assembly elections", Kishor said, adding that Chief Minister Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad had no time to see the pathetic conditions of ancestral home of J P. He would visit all parts of Bihar during his " Badlao Yatra " for convincing the people to ensure change of regime in the state, he stated.
