Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) Founder of Jan Suraaj Prashant Kishor on Monday asked people to assess the performance of the government every five years and not behave like bonded labourers by extending their support to a particular government for long.
Kishor said that people had the responsibility to assess the performance of the government every five years, before extending their support during elections. They should not continue to extend their support for long 35 years as done by the people of Bihar, he pointed out.
" People of Bihar had extended their support to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for 35 years but both of them did nothing for the state", Jan Suraaj leader said adding that five top southern states of the country including Tamil Nadu and Karnataka had the contribution of 33 percent in GDP of the country but people kept changing the government there almost every ten years. Those who were in government were aware of the fact that they would not be voted back to power if did not perform well, he added. On the other hand, rulers of Bihar had no fear of being voted out of power even if they did not perform better, he remarked.
