Punjab cops arrest weapons smuggler

Chandigarh, Apr 29 (UNI) Acting on a specific tip-off, Counter Intelligence (CI) Amritsar has arrested
Jodhbir Singh, a resident of Naushera, in TarnTaran district and recovered 5 pistols from his possession,
DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said here on Tuesday.
He said the preliminary investigation revealed that Jodhbir Singh was in contact with a Pakistan-
based drug smuggler, who supplied illegal weapons.
DGP Yadav said an FIR is registered at SSOC Amritsar, and further investigations are underway
to apprehend other associates.
