Bengaluru, Apr 24 (UNI) Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to field against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 42 of IPL 2025 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Thursday.
Captain Riyan Parag, speaking at the toss, mentioned that the wicket appeared sticky but is expected to improve as the game progresses. "The wicket looks a bit sticky and should get better later on. We are going to bowl first with our focus on giving 100 percent and trusting our ethics to deliver the right results," said Parag.
Rajat Patidar of the opposing side also echoed his team's readiness, stating, "We would have loved to bowl first as well. The surface has been tricky and unpredictable this season, and we will try to adapt as quickly as we can. Shot selection will be key, and we are going with the same team."
In terms of team changes, Rajasthan Royals have made one adjustment to their squad, with Theekshana making way for Fazalhaq Farooqi. Meanwhile, Rajasthan's star player, Sanju Samson, is still recovering and remains unavailable for the match.
Both teams are now set to face off under challenging conditions, with both captains emphasising the need to adapt to the conditions swiftly for success.
