RSS chief backs govt's action, says 'all Indians are together'

Belagavi, May 9 (UNI) RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat on Friday underscored national unity in the face of the ongoing military action under Operation Sindoor, declaring that "all Indians are together at this time".

Briefly addressing reporters at Sambra Airport, Bhagwat refrained from commenting on operational details but stressed collective resolve, saying, "Sab log saath hain iss samay" (Everyone is together at this time).

His remarks follow a statement earlier in the day in which he hailed Operation Sindoor as a decisive and dignified response to the Pahalgam terror attack. He commended the Centre and the armed forces for delivering swift justice through targeted strikes against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, calling the move both "necessary and inevitable" for national security.

The RSS strongly condemned what it termed "inhuman" Pakistani attacks on religious places and civilian settlements along the border. Expressing condolences to bereaved families, the organisation urged citizens to remain vigilant, adhere to government advisories, and contribute to preserving social harmony.

It called on the public to assist civil and military authorities in this critical hour and thwart any attempts by anti-national forces to disturb the country’s unity.
