Saints demand imposition of President's rule in Bengal

Prayagraj, Apr 18 (UNI) Sadhus and saints have strongly condemned the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bengal regarding the Waqf (Amendment) Act and have demanded the dismissal of the West Bengal government and imposition of President's rule.
Saints said that the brutality with which Hindus are being persecuted under the rule of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Bengali Hindus are not safe in their own homes. "The central government should take suo motu cognizance of the matter, control the situation and make arrangements for the return of Bengali Hindus migrating from there. The Mamata government has failed in running the government, as a result of which anarchy has increased there," they said.
Secretary of Mahanirvani Akhara Mahant Yamuna Puri said that the Waqf (Amendment) Act has been passed in the House with full majority, there is no harm to anyone from this, but what is happening in West Bengal under its guise is shameful, the government there is responsible for this. He has demanded the central government to intervene in the matter and impose President's rule so that the situation is under control and the migrating people can return home.
He said that the Kashmir like situation that started developing in West Bengal. "The situation is very dangerous. Anarchy has spread there with the support of the state government. If the central government does not take cognizance of this now, then a situation like Kashmir will arise later and a very big problem will arise. It is necessary to solve the problem in time," he said.
Mahant said that if this type of anarchy increases beyond limits in any state of the country, then the central government should take suo motu cognizance and suppress it. "The Bengal government is not talking about the help and security of Hindus. Those who have migrated are not able to muster the courage to return to their homes, what could be more unfortunate than this," he said.
He said that if the villages become empty due to anarchy, then it will be difficult to resettle them. How many people were resettled in the villages that were destroyed in Kashmir.
The secretary said that India is united as long as there are Hindus in the country, but a conspiracy is being hatched to break it. He said that if the population equation changes on the basis of a particular religion, then India will reach the verge of disintegration.
He said, "The area where the population of Hindus has been limited, that area will have to be considered cut off from India because the people of a particular religion will become the majority there. Till date, all the divisions of India have happened on this basis."
In response to a question, he said that on what basis are these minorities. "In the states or districts where they are in majority, their minority status should be abolished," he said.
In response to another question, Mahant said that a village could not be made a Hindu village, declaring it a Hindu nation is just a pipe dream. "On what basis will the country be declared a Hindu nation? Hindus are being tortured in Bengal, but no one is paying attention to that, they are singing the tune of Hindu Nation-Hindu Nation. To create a Hindu nation, concrete action will be required at the ground level, a Hindu nation will not be created in the air," he said.
Sringaverpur Peethadheeshwar Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Narayanacharya Shandilya Maharaj condemned the incident in West Bengal and called it shameful. He said that the central government should take the matter seriously and take strict action against the culprits.
He said that when the state government is not able to handle law and order, then how will it run the government, in such a situation, the West Bengal government should be dismissed immediately and President's rule should be imposed.
He saisd that all citizens are equal for the government but Mamta Banerjee has lost the trust of the people by promoting anarchy, in such a situation, by imposing President's rule, the affected people should be helped immediately so that their problems can be resolved.
