Hyderabad, Mar 20 (UNI) South Central Railway (SCR) has achieved a significant milestone by securing the prestigious Railway Minister Rajbhasha Shield for outstanding performance in implementing the Rajbhasha (Official Language) policy.
The Rajbhasha Department of SCR Headquarters clinched the first prize for exemplary efforts in promoting the use of Hindi.
Additionally, the Vijayawada Division was awarded the Acharya Raghuveer Chal Vaijayanti for being recognized as a Model Division, while the Wagon Workshop at Guntupalli received the Railway Minister Rajbhasha Shield as a Model Workshop.
Rajesh P.Khade, Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari & Principal Chief Materials Manager (PCMM), SCR, was honoured with the Railway Minister Rajbhasha Silver Medal for his individual contribution.
The awards were presented by Satish Kumar, Chairman & CEO of the Railway Board, at a special function held in New Delhi on Thursday. The event was attended by senior Railway Board officials and executive directors.
The Rajbhasha Shield for SCR Headquarters was received by Rajesh P Khade, along with Dr Shyam Sundar Sahu, DGM (OL), and M K Nagaraju, RBA/HQ.
For the Vijayawada Division, Narendra A. Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, and M K Nagaraju accepted the Acharya Raghuveer Chal Vaijayanti. Meanwhile, the Wagon Workshop, Guntupalli award was collected by S Srinivas, Chief Workshop Manager.
Congratulating the Rajbhasha team, Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR, praised the commendable achievements at the national level. He lauded the dedication of the Headquarters, Division, and Workshop teams in promoting the Hindi language.
Jain also congratulated Rajesh P Khade for earning the prestigious silver medal and encouraged
the team to continue their excellent work to secure further recognition, a SCR statement said.
