Balrampur (UP), Mar 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday held a meeting at Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth in Tulsipur to review the preparations for the Chaitra Navratri Fair.
During the meeting, the CM received updates on the development plans for Balrampur. Public representatives informed him about various public issues and he provided necessary guidelines to officials for resolving them.
He emphasised that the convenience and security of devotees during the fair are the government's top priority, urging the local administration to closely monitor this aspect. He directed the installation of CCTV cameras, proper arrangements for announcements, special attention to women’s safety, the establishment of women’s changing rooms, and the timely completion of all preparations.
Yogi said, "Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth in Tulsipur is a significant centre of faith for devotees, and lakhs are expected to visit during the Chaitra Navratri fair. The administration must begin preparations now to ensure the safety and convenience of the devotees."
He said that adequate CCTV cameras should be installed during the Devipatan fair to facilitate proper management and crime control. "Arrangements for public announcements should also be in place throughout the event," he said.
The CM stressed the importance of cleanliness during the fair, insisting that single-use plastics should be avoided and no waterlogging should occur. He directed the administration to ensure proper arrangements for mobile toilets, garbage disposal, and spraying.
He highlighted the praise received by UP Police for their behavior during the Maha Kumbh and emphasised that police personnel at the Chaitra Navratri fair should maintain conduct that wins the hearts of all.
The CM said, "Special arrangements for women's safety, changing rooms and parking should be made. Ensure that devotees would face no issues with transportation. Local administrative officials should coordinate with Transport Corporation officials to ensure adequate bus services, while also making arrangements for e-rickshaws and taxis."
He emphasised the importance of promoting spiritual tourism and said that faith can also serve as a means of livelihood, with the Maha Kumbh being the prime example of this. He suggested that videos showcasing the Maha Kumbh, Ramayana, and mythological displays should be featured during the fair to enhance the experience.
