Semiconductor fab to come up in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 28 (UNI) Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has invited proposals from qualified consultants and firms for preparing a feasibility report for establishing a semiconductor fabrication facility in the State.
The objective of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study for establishing a state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication facility to give an added thrust to Kerala’s strategic vision to build a high-technology electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.
The feasibility study will evaluate the technical, economic, and operational aspects of setting up a semiconductor fab, including site analysis, infrastructure requirements, market demand, financial viability, and potential socio-economic benefits for the state.
