Mumbai, May 12 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Monday posted massive gains of 2240.52 pts, breaching 81K level at 81,694.99 till 1100 hrs on strong global cues.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) advanced 693.65 pts at 24,701.65 pts.

The ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, positive trade talks between US and China also supported to the equity market.

All stocks were in green, BSE Services, Realty and Utilities jumped more than 4 per cent.

The BSE Sensex registered intra day high at 81,830.65 and intra day low at 80,651.07 respectively.

The Nifty registered days high at 24,737.80 and low at 24,378.85 pts.

The Mid cap gained 3.10 pc and Small cap by 3.85 pc.

In 30 scrips, 28 advanced while 2 declined.

The gainers were Adani Ports by 4.92 pc to Rs 1371.35, Axis Bank by 4.04 pc to Rs 1200, Eternal by 3.75 pc to Rs 235.45 and NTPC by 3.71 pc to Rs 347.

The losers were Sun Pharma by 3.37 pc to Rs 1686.25 and IndusInd Bank by 0.18 pc to Rs 816.35.
