Mumbai, Apr 2 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Wednesday recovered by 314.72 pts at 76,339.23 in opening session on the strength of Realty, Technology and FMCG stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 63.90 pts at 23,229.60 pts.
Tumbling down over 1300 pts on Tuesday, the equity market was seen improved in the early trade as the Sensex registered intra days high at 76,498.82 pts and low at 76,064.94 pts.
The Nifty registered days high at 23,293.65 and low at 23,158.45 pts.
The Mid cap fell 0.07 pc and small cap by 0.42 pc.
In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 13 declined.
The gainers were Maruti Suzuki by 1.97 pc to Rs 11,702, Bharti Airtel by 1.63 pc to Rs 1752, Tech Mahindra by 1.62 pc to Rs 1416.75 and HDFC Bank by 1.34 pc to Rs 1791.05.
The losers were Nestle India Ltd by 2.08 pc to Rs 2185.60, Ultracemco by 1.33 pc to Rs 11225, Powergrid by 1.09 pc to Rs 286.10 and Hind Unilever by 0.95 pc to Rs 2212.35.
