Srinagar, May 5 (UNI) J&K Police on Monday transferred six Inspectors in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, including the Station House Officer of Pahalgam.
The police transfers took place nearly two weeks after the deadliest attack on civilians at Baisaran meadows near the Pahalgam resort that left 25 tourists and a local dead.
According to the order issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag, Inspector Reyaz Ahmad has been transferred from Police Station Pahalgam to District Police Lines Anantnag.
The order said he is also further attached with the Additional Superintendent of Police Camp Aishmuqam for further duties.
As per the order, Inspector Peer Gulzar Ahmad will now serve as SHO at Police Station Pahalgam, moving from DPL Anantnag. The other inspectors transferred in Anantnag included Abdul Rashid, Nisar Ahmad, Salinder Singh and Parvaiz Ahmad.
Ever since the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, the tension between India and Pakistan are escalating with each passing day. UNI MJR SSP
