Sindoor: Injured in Pak shelling, BSF jawan succumbs under treatment

Jammu, May 11 (UNI) Another jawan of Border Security Force succumbed during a treatment at a hospital here on Sunday.
The BSF jawan had sustained critical injuries in cross-border shelling along the International Border in R S Pura Sector.
“We salute the supreme sacrifice made by BSF Braveheart Constable (GD) Deepak Chimngakham in the service of the nation,” BSF Jammu posted on X.
It further mentioned that he sustained fatal injuries during cross-border firing along the International Boundary in R S Pura area, District Jammu on May 10, and attained martyrdom on May 11.
DG BSF and all ranks express their deepest condolences to his family, it said.
The wreath-laying ceremony with full honours shall take place on Monday (tomorrow) at Frontier HQ Jammu, Paloura.
Earlier, on May 10, one BSF Sub-Inspector Md Imteyaz was martyred in cross-border firing along the International Border in R S Pura Sector of Jammu.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday paid homage to the BSF Sub Inspector martyred in Pak shelling at a wreath-laying ceremony that took place at BSF Frontier Headquarters.
At least eight BSF jawans sustained injuries in heavy shelling by Pakistan on the International Border on Saturday in the Ranbir Singh Pura sector of Jammu.
