Speaker asks govt. about its action on JP Senani Pension whose records not available

Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav asked the government about its actions regarding JP senani pension to those who were jailed during the movement but their records were not available.
Intervening in the reply being made by Bihar Energy Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav to a starred question of Ajit Kumar Singh during pre lunch sitting in the lower house on Monday, Yadav said that those who went to the jail during 1974 movement but their records were not available with the jail. He asked the government about the actions on JP senani pension in such cases.
Earlier, through his supplementry, Singh asked the government whether it would pay JP senani pension to those andolankaris (agitators) who went underground after warrants issued against them during the movement.
To this, the Minister informed there was no provision in the rule in such cases.
Through his another supplementry, Singh spoke about a list of 74 people who were sent to the jail during the movement but their records were not available due to Jailor's mistake. He said such Senanis have neither been given any citation letter nor pension.
The Minister reiterating his reply stated that JP senani pension was being given only under the rules and regulations.
