Colombo, Apr 20 (UNI) Sri Lankan President Anura Kumar Dissanayake has hinted at fresh revelations in a key investigation, even as the final report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
“Those who stayed silent are now starting to speak. Those who claimed they had no links are now being exposed,” the President said, adding that some upcoming investigations will need to be carried out discreetly and may not be revealed immediately,” Newswire reported.
The devastating Easter attacks six years ago in Sri Lanka claimed 269 lives, and injured 500 people, in a series of coordinated strikes on churches, with the masterminds yet to be caught.
