Srinagar Airport closed for flight operations until May 14 night

Srinagar, May 9 (UNI) Amid heightened Indo-Pak border tensions, the flight operations at Srinagar International Airport have been suspended until May 14 night, officials said.

Following the military strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the wee hours of May 7 on terror bases, several airports, including Srinagar Airport, were shut on Wednesday.

“Srinagar Airport is closed up to 2359hrs of 14.05.2025 for flight ops,” Airport authorities said.

They said updates will be issued in case of any change or amendment to the schedule.

Meanwhile, a blackout was imposed in several districts of Kashmir late Friday. In several parts of Srinagar, mosque loudspeakers were used to urge residents to switch off their lights as a precautionary measure.
