Startups should become a people's movement : Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha on Friday said start-ups should become a people's movement so as to bring back India's old glory inglobal trade.

He was speaking in the programme Maharise-Startup Pitching Session organised as part of "Tech Wari: Maharashtra Tech Learning Week" from May 5 to 9 by the General Administration Department.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought schemes like Startups to develop the country. Many have brought glory to the country in this.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra has also done remarkable work in Startups in the country. But Minister Lodha also expressed regret that the number of Startups is less in rural areas compared to cities. Minister Lodha clarified that the Skill and Innovation Department is trying to increase the number of startups in rural areas and Chief Minister Fadnavis is personally looking into the matter.

Maha: HC grants bail to Bangladeshi woman on violation of fundamental rights in case of illegal stay in India

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) The Bombay High Court has granted bail to a female Bangladeshi national, accused of illegally entering India, citing violation of her fundamental rights due to her delayed production before a magistrate, a lawyer said on Sunday
In an order passed on May seven, Justice Milind Jadhav noted that petitioner was not produced within the mandatory 24-hour period after her arrest, which amounts to a breach of her constitutional rights under Articles 21 and 22.
