Sundar, Unadkat return as GT bowl against SRH

Hyderabad, Apr 6 (UNI) Washington Sundar and Jaydev Unadkat walked into their respective sides as Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to field against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Sunday.

Sundar replaced Arshad Khan in GT's lineup, while Unadkat came in for Harshal Patel, who is down with illness. The changes add variety to both bowling attacks as the teams look to adapt to the black soil surface.

"We are going to bowl first. Looks like a slowish wicket, different from the previous two games as it's a black soil surface. Generally, it's a good wicket. We have been playing well, need to adapt to the conditions as soon as possible," Titans skipper Shubman Gill said at the toss.

"I think we had good memories in the past, we are continuing to have good fun," he added.

Sunrisers captain Pat Cummins welcomed the opportunity to bat first. "Happy to bat first. We want to be aggressive. It's a ground we like batting at, we scored 280 at this venue not so long ago," he said.

"We need to play our best and focus on our strengths."

Both teams are in search of consistency in the middle phase of the tournament, with conditions under lights expected to play a decisive role.
