Suryalanka beach will be developed as ‘Blue Flag’ beach: AP Minister

Bapatla (Andhra), Mar 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism Kandula Durgesh on Friday announced that the Suryalanka beach in Bapatla district will be developed as a ‘Blue Flag’ beach and efforts are being made to establish tourism circuits between Chirala and Bapatla.
The Tourism Minister, during his Bapatla district visit on Friday, inaugurated a water park at Aavidi village. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Central government had sanctioned Rs 97.52 crore under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme with which the Suryalanka beach would be modernized with all facilities and the beach would be transformed as ‘Blue Flag’ beach.

Several investors have already been invited to invest in the PPP model. As part of this, Minister Durgesh congratulated Sandeep for building modern resorts in Bapatla under the name of V Resorts, introducing water sports in accordance with international standards, and impressing tourists by giving priority to safety standards.

Durgesh said preparations would soon be made to make the area between Chirala and Bapatla a tourism circuit, lamenting that the tourism sector has gone downhill in the last five years during the previous regime UNI DP SSP
