Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad on Monday evening to discuss crucial infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing road connectivity in the state.
During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy urged the Union Minister to expedite financial and cabinet approvals for the northern section of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR), for which tenders have already been floated.
He requested that both the northern and southern sections of the RRR be developed simultaneously for better coordination and faster completion.
The Chief Minister also sought the Centre’s sanction for the proposed elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam on National Highway 765, to ease travel on the busy Hyderabad–Srisailam route. In addition, he requested early approval for the Hyderabad–Amaravati Greenfield Expressway.
Highlighting the importance of enhancing last-mile connectivity, CM Revanth Reddy stressed the need for developing radial roads linking the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with the upcoming RRR. He also sought immediate approval for the development of the Hyderabad–Dindi–Mannanur highway, the Hyderabad–Mancherial Greenfield corridor, and a radial road from ORR to Manneguda.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Telangana Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Tummala Nageswara Rao, MPs Mallu Ravi, Anil Kumar Yadav, and Advisor Harkara Venugopal during the meeting, an official statement said tonight. UNI VV SSP
