Telangana Jagruthi to launch statewide political training for youth, women & students

Hyderabad, June 15 (UNI) Telangana Jagruthi President and BRS MLC, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, stated on Sunday that Telangana Jagruthi will become a political training platform for youth, women, and students, aiming to empower those without a political background.
Speaking after unveiling a poster of the political training programme by Telangana Jagruthi, "LEADER", at her residence here, Kavitha, the daughter of BRS President and former CM KCR, emphasized the importance of youth participation in politics for cleaner politics.
She announced that Telangana Jagruthi will conduct three-day political training sessions every month across the state.
The first session will begin in July in Hyderabad, followed by monthly sessions in various districts starting from August, she informed.
Encouraging students, youth and women to participated in the training programme, the BRS stated that the sessions would cover key topics such as the roles and responsibilities of elected representatives—from sarpanches to MPs—identifying public issues, resolving them, and mobilizing development funds.
She further reiterated Telangana Jagruthi would continue to fight for achieving 42 percent reservations for Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections.
She also highlighted the significance of preparing women leaders for the upcoming parliamentary and assembly elections, especially in light of the Women’s Reservation Act, which provides 33 percent reservations for women.
With delimitation expected to increase the number of assembly seats in Telangana to 153 and Lok Sabha seats as well, Kavitha emphasized the need for strong, well-informed leaders.
