Telangana: woman kills two children with knife, before ending life

Hyderabad, Apr 17 (UNI) A 34-year-old woman allegedly killed her two sons – an 11-year-old and 9-year-old – using a knife at their residence and later died by jumping from an apartment at Balaji layout, Jeedimetla, outskirts of the city on Thursday.
The woman, identified as Teja, was staying with her family in an apartment, police said here.
Teja first attacked her two sons, Harshith Reddy (11) and Ashish Reddy (9) , with a knife in the house before jumping from the fifth floor of the apartment.
On being alerted, the Jeedimetla police reached the spot and began an investigation to ascertain the reasons behind this drastic step. UNI KNR SSP

Chennai, Apr 18 (UNI) Apparently referring to Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar's remarks
on the Supreme Court setting time frame for President to take decisions on a plea filed by
Tamil Nadu over the delay in Governor granting assent to Bills passed in the State Assembly,
Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin said “no one, however high, can be above the
law.”
In a social media post, he said the SC's historic verdict on course correction has rattled many
anti-democratic forces as it was a step towards resetting the process.
