Ten-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Churachandpur

Imphal, Apr 6 (UNI) Manipur Police arrested a person allegedly involved in the sexual assault of a ten-year-old girl in Churachandpur district.
Police said on Sunday that information was received on Friday that a ten-year-old girl hailing from Chandel District currently residing in Churachandpur District was admitted to District Hospital, Churachandpur, after being sexually assaulted.
Manipur Police teams, including Women-PS, the Churachandpur team, rushed to the District Hospital, Churachandpur District, for an enquiry.
Later, after identifying the perpetrator, searches were made by the police teams within the town at different suspected locations.
Finally, the teams were able to successfully apprehend one child in conflict with the Law (CCL) from Zion Veng, Tuibong Sub-Division, Churachandpur District.
