Three youths arrested for rape and murder in Bulandshahr

Bulandshahr (UP), May 10 (UNI) Three youths accused of murder of a girl and sexually assaulting her friend in a moving car were arrested during an encounter with the police in Khurja area of Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, a police officer said here.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Tejveer Singh said that at around 2:30 pm during an encounter with the Khurja Nagar police, two of the accused, Sandeep and Gaurav, sustained bullet injuries and were sent to the Primary Health Center for treatment. "The third criminal named Amit has been nabbed by the police," he said.
He said that on May 7, a girl informed the Khurja Nagar police station that she and her friend work as welcome girls at marriage functions in Noida. "The complainant said that on May 6, she along with her friend had gone to gate number three of the court. During this time she met Amit, already known to her," he said.
The ASP said that according to the victim Amit's friend Sandeep was also sitting in the car. "It has been alleged that Sandeep and Amit made the girl sit in the car by luring her with a job and took her to Jagat Farm House in Greater Noida. There, both of them bought beer and forcibly made the victim and her friend drink. Meanwhile, their other friend named Gaurav also came and sat in the car," he said.
He said that it has been alleged that later, when the girls got more intoxicated, the accused tried to rape her friend. "When she resisted, they pushed her friend out of the car in the jungle of Jani police station area of Meerut, due to which she died. After this, all the three friends gang-raped the second girl," he said.
Singh said that while the three friends were taking the girl to Lucknow, their car stopped in Khurja area, where the girl somehow got out of their clutches by making an excuse and went to the police station and contacted the police and registered a case.
He said that during the investigation, it was found that both the miscreants named Amit and Sandeep are residents of Noida and their third friend Gaurav is a resident of Ghaziabad. "These people had brought both the girls with them by promising them a job. Sandeep along with Amit had raped the minor in a moving car," he said.
The ASP said that the girl who was thrown out of the car in Meerut had died and the police were tightening the noose around the accused. He said that the 17-year-old victim has studied till Class 8 and works as a welcome girl in marriage functions.
