Agartala, May 10 (UNI) The Tripura Pradesh Congress held a ‘Jai Hind Yatra’ on Saturday, carrying the Indian tricolor, to express support for the Indian Armed Forces and condemn recent terror attacks.
Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President, Asish Kumar Saha, addressed the rally, condemning the terrorist attack on innocent civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, and demanded that the government ensure the punishment of the terrorists involved in civilian killings.
Saha noted that in response to the attack, the Indian Armed Forces had carried out significant strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and on terrorist camps in Pakistan, resulting in substantial destruction. The Armed Forces continued strikes to dismantle the camps.
In retaliation, Pakistan attempted drone and missile strikes, but these were successfully intercepted and neutralized by the Indian Armed Forces, showcasing their exceptional skill.
Expressing gratitude for the valor of the Indian Armed Forces, Saha said, "We want to extend our heartfelt thanks for their heroism. The Indian Armed Forces have made it clear that India will not tolerate any form of terrorist activity. We are immensely proud of their dedication."
The Congress President emphasized that the ‘Jai Hind Yatra’ was organized to honor the sacrifices of the Armed Forces, to salute their sense of duty, and to reaffirm their unwavering support for both the Indian government and the Armed Forces. "We stand united with our Armed Forces," he added.
