Bareilly (UP), May 8 (UNI) A woman and her daughter from Bareilly, who were on the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, on Thursday died in a helicopter crash while going from Gangotri to Kedarnath, police sources said here.

Police sources said that Radha Agarwal (80), a resident of Alamgiriganj in Bareilly, had set out for the Char Dham Yatra with her daughter Ruchi Agarwal (25) to Uttarakhand. "The helicopter took off from Gangotri to Yamunotri with six pilgrims, but it crashed on the way on Thursday morning," they said.

Police sources said that Ruchi Agarwal was working as a chemical engineer in Mumbai. "Bareilly administration has received information about the accident. After this, police and administration officials reached the residence of the victim's family and talked to the family members and informed them about the accident," they said.

Police sources said that Radha's nephew Umang Agarwal said that she had been living in Mumbai with her daughter for years.
