UP: Youth stabbed to death on Holi in Deoria

Deoria (UP), Mar 15 (UNI) A 35-year-old youth was stabbed to death allegedly over a petty dispute in the Sadar Kotwali area of Deoria district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Vir said that the incident took place on the evening of Holi on Friday when Ram Bhavan Vishwakarma stabbed Sanoj Yadav in Bhimpur village under the Sadar Kotwali area over some dispute and seriously injured him.
"Sanoj was brought to the medical college where the doctors declared him dead," he said.
He said that on the basis of the complaint received in this regard, the police have registered a case, and a police team has been constituted to arrest the accused. "The accused will be arrested soon," he said.
The SP said that he himself, along with the forensic team and dog squad, has inspected the spot.
