Woman Musiri Revenue Tahsildar dies in road accident, Stalin announces solatium

Chennai, June 19 (UNI) In a tragic incident, the Women Musiri Revenue Tahsildar Aramuda Devasena was killed in a road accident at Mekkudi village near Srirangam on the Karur-Trichy
NH on Thursday.
The woman tahsildar was on an official visit to Trichy to attend a review meeting when the accident took place due following a tyre burst.
Police the driver of the official car in which she was travelling collided with a Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation bus which was proceeding to Tiruppur from Trichy.
Following the collision, the car rolled and hit a stationary JPC vehicle which was parked on the roadside for repairs.
In the impact, the woman tahsildar was killed on the spot and her driver sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Terming her death as an irreparable loss to the Revenue department and her family, Chief Minister
M K Stalin expressed deep anguish and grief and announced a solatium of Rs 10 lakh to her family from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund and Rs five lakh from the Family Protection fund.
He also said he would ensure that her family was paid Rs one crore insurance cover recently announced by him for government employees.
