Women, nephew killed, son injured as school shed collapses

Barabanki (UP), Apr 17 (UNI) A woman and her nephew were killed, and her son was injured when the tin shed of a school collapsed due to rain and storm in Zaidpur area of Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident took place in the Baba Bihari Das Memorial School premises located in Nawabpur Kordi village. Phoolmati (40), her son Rahul (22) and nephew Dhruv (6) had gone to irrigate the field, they said.
Police sources said that when the storm started, all three ran and took shelter under the tin shed in the school premises, which collapsed due to strong winds. Hearing the screams on the spot, the villagers ran towards the spot. By the time the villagers could take those people out, Phoolmati and Dhruv had died, they said.
Rahul who sustained serious injuries was immediately taken to the district hospital and admitted.
