'The Alliance' Season 2 to premiere on January 14, 2027

Mumbai, Sep 30 (UNI) "The Alliance" is returning for a second season, with the reality series scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on January 14, 2027.
Based on the Dutch reality format, 'Alliance' is created by John de Mol and produced by Banijay Asia. The first season of the show saw 16 celebrity 'Alliances' placed in a mysterious HQ, where they had to navigate alliances, strategies and changing equations, along with physical and mental challenges. Kunal Khemu hosted season 1.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals, Prime Video India, said that the response to the first season proved that Indian audiences love reality entertainment based on strategy and mind games.
He added that the second season is being released soon to avoid making viewers wait a full year. This time, the stakes will be higher, the gameplay will be more strategic and the drama will be more intense, and there will be changes to the system.
Deepak Dhar, Founder and Group CEO of Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India, said that in Season 2, along with the challenges, the contestants' decisions and their relationships will also be part of the game.
Meanwhile, Group Chief Development Officer Mrinalini Jain explained that several new changes have been made while maintaining the show's original format. She also expressed excitement about Khemu's return.
The first season of "The Alliance" was Prime Video's first daily reality series, with new episodes streaming daily at 12 noon. The second season is expected to feature even more excitement, strategy, and twists. UNI NST CDS
